Secure FTP Help

You must have a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client installed on your computer (or your server) to securely send files from your computer and the Trellis Healthcare server. Examples of SFTP clients include WinSCP, Core FTP, CuteFTP, and WS_FTP. An SFTP client supports using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for encrypting the user name, password, and files.

If you already have an SFTP client installed on your computer, refer to the section below to set up access to the Trellis Healthcare server. If you have an SFTP client other than WinSCP, make sure it supports SFTP. If it does not, it will not work when you try to connect.

SFTP Settings for Accessing the Trellis Healthcare Server

Use the settings below to set up your client to access the Trellis Healthcare server:

Host Name—infodive.trellishc.com
User Name—Trellis Healthcare will provide to you
Password—Trellis Healthcare will provide to you
File Protocol—SFTP or similar option
Port Number—22

If you get the warning below, please select "skip" and enter "infodive.trellishc.com" as the host name.

If you do not already have an SFTP client installed, you can use the free WinSCP client. If you want to use WinSCP as your SFTP client, refer to the section below for a brief overview, or click here for step-by-step instructions.

To download and set up WinSCP
1. From your web browser, go to www.winscp.net.
2. Download the installation package for the latest released version.
3. Install the software on your computer.

Select the Norton Commander Interface option when asked for the user interface style.

4. Start WinSCP and set up a login session using the following settings:

Host Name—infodive.trellishc.com
User Name—Trellis Healthcare will provide to you
Password—Trellis Healthcare will provide to you
File Protocol—SFTP (default)
Port Number—22 (default)

5. Click Save and give the session a name.

Give the session a name you will recognize in the future. You will use it whenever you send updated information to Trellis Healthcare.
